Scholarship Opportunities 

The Garrett County Farm Bureau is awarding four $500 scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year. Applicants must be current high school seniors with plans to start college autumn semester 2021, or may be current full-time college students at any accredited community college or four-year institution.

Applicants or their parents/guardians must be members, in good standing, of the Maryland Farm Bureau to be eligible to apply. 

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a designated committee of the Garrett County Farm Bureau. To apply, students must submit an application via email  to Shaina Saturday at Garrettcountyfarmbureau@gmail.com by March 15, 2021. Attached is the scholarship application.

It’s a priority at Garrett County Farm Bureau to give our next generation the tools they need to succeed, while improving the embarrassing level of food awareness in our communities.

The Garrett County Farm Bureau hosted their annual Miss Contest in conjunction with tours of Cove Pastures, owners Chester & Trish Yoder, on Sunday, July 26th. The 2020 Miss Garrett County Agriculture was named as Emma Carr, daughter of  Rodney and Staci Carr of Accident, MD. Learn more here.
