issues of concern begin with an individual – and so does Farm Bureau
policy. Farm Bureau members are urged to formulate its foundation by
adding, deleting and improving policy each year. Each county Farm Bureau
discusses and votes on its policy which is passed on to the state and on
to the national level. Every Farm Bureau farmer-member has a voice and a

Maryland Farm Bureau members receives the
full-color, glossy magazine, My Maryland, four times per year.
Through intriguing stories and beautiful photographs, the magazine
demonstrates that the "gap" between our urban and suburban members and
their rural neighbors is not wide. My Maryland cover topics
ranging from nutrition and health to environmental, travel and more.
Regular members also receive a monthly newsletter, Spotlight, to keep them informed of activities, programs and agricultural issues. Features include legislative alerts, Young Farmer and Farm Bureau Women events and leader columns. The state legislative update, Hotline, is published during the General Assembly session and is sent to state and county leaders. Those leaders also receive the Farm Bureau News, the weekly American Farm Bureau Federation newsletter. County and state national affairs committee members receive FBACT Alerts, action requests from AFBF encouraging grassroots lobbying on priority issues. |

formulate recommendations on issues in specific areas such as dairy,
